I began my first HR position with North Carolina State University in the Cooperative Extension Service and moved from there to a Benefits support position, and then on to Recruiting. From there, I worked with high technology companies such as SAS and LORD Corporation, and a research organization, RTI, as a Compensation Analyst. I have 20 years in the field of Compensation, and 20+ years in HR overall. My generalist responsibilities have included Performance Management, Recruiting, Employee Relations, Training, Benefits Administration and Payroll. I am experienced in leading Training teams responsible for the production of blended learning solutions for 45,000 colleagues. I have designed and facilitated a range of bespoke leadership programmes for clients both in house and nationally. On the HR front I have project managed the delivery of a major HR Transformation initiative in 50 TVET Colleges across South Africa. This included the creation of an 800 page HR Policy & Procedure Manual for 18,000 employees. Designed a unique HR Dashboard which is a diagnostic tool used with clients to identify HR performance gaps. UK based after living in SA for the last 10 years.
