I am passionate about people (and dogs, especially Beagles). I think it is important to find the good in people. My aim is to work with people's strengths AND weaknesses. I find people are sometimes scared or ashamed of their weaknesses, but change comes when we view them as opportunities. I have recently transitioned my career from being a corporate HR Executive to a freelance consultant, being location independent, whilst also volunteering for the UN online. This change is an opportunity to positively influence HR for business, people development and social impacts on the environment - balancing all my purpose driven goals. Along my 23 year corporate journey, I have been fortunate to work across industries, with multi-functional teams in sub-Saharan Africa. I have owned, led and got my hands dirty on strategic, operational and process driven projects. These have included re-design work during business acquisitions, project management, the implementation of smart and efficient people processes, to digital transformation.

After obtaining my BA Honours in Psychology I went to the UK with travelling in mind. I ended up travelling for a year and the remaining 4 years I worked for Chase Manhattan Bank. Upon returning to South Africa, I joined a recruitment company, PAG, for four years. Here I was their top consultant in their office support space. I then spent 2 years at home with children and returned to the business world thereafter when we were awarded a contract to do the MTN merchandising as well as merchandising and field marketing for Siemens. Here I set up all the HR practices from scratch and conducted all recruitment. Upon completion of these contracts I returned to an agency background where I have been focusing on digital, tech and data talent.
